이중 고급설정 페이지인 about:config 에서 위험하지 않고, 재밌게 장난을 쳐볼 수 있는 몇가지를 아래에 정리했다.

4. Limit RAM usage
FF를 minimize 하면 메모리 내용을 하드디스크에 기록해서 메모리 사용을 줄인다.
about:config 고급설정으로 들어간다.
새로운 값을 입력하기 위해 오른쪽 클릭을 하여 Boolean을 선택한다. 이름을  “config.trim_on_minimize” 그리고 값을 TRUE 로 한다.

5. Reduce RAM usage further for when Firefox is minimized
about:config 고급설정으로 들어간다.
필터에서 “browser.cache.disk.capacity” 값을 수정한다.
기본적을 50000 나 51200일 것이다.
 but you can lower it,depending on how much memory you have. Try 15000 if you have between512MB and 1GB ram.

6. Move or remove the close tab button:
탭 버튼의 의미를 변경할 수 있다. about:config 고급설정으로 들어간다.
필터에 browser.tabs.closeButtons 를 찾아서 아래 정수 값중 하나를 선택할 수 있다.

0: Display a close button on the active tab only

1: (Default) Display close buttons on all tabs

2: Don’t display any close buttons

3: Display a single close button at the end of the tab bar (Firefox 1.x behavior)

7. Smart keywords:
스마트 키워드를 설정하면 파이어폭스 주소에 imdb William Shatner 를 입력하면 imdb 에서 영화를 검색할 수 있다.
